Student Placements
We offer student placements opportunities based on your interests and skills and the time commitment required. These include field placements and observational opportunities in a number of disciplines such as child and youth work, social work, community development and outreach, research, and environmental justice.

- Grassroots Outreach
- Sustainability and Restoration
Applying for Environmental Outreach Placement:
- Facilitating group and community events to promote current climate awareness
- Participate is group led pro-environmental efforts (ex. community clean up)
- Implement project deliverables by working closely with schools, community groups and members to educate those on sustainability and how to make it accessible
- Garner local involvement in community agricultural movements
Applying for Community Support Services Placement
- Opportunities may include: working in the community with children and families in a variety of settings, e.g. family shelters, community centres, family resource centres, etc.
- Researching gaps in needs within communities and formulating plans or events to support
- participation in presenting workshops
- Facilitating group and community events to promote awareness
- some evening/weekend availability required
