2025 “Plant for Planet” Initiative – Successfully Completed at Centennial Park

We’re pleased to announce the successful completion of this year’s “Plant for Planet” campaign at Centennial Park. As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community greening efforts, a diverse range of native trees and shrubs were planted.

• 10 Red Maple (Acer rubrum)
• 10 Eastern White Pine (Pinus strobus)
• 10 Trembling Aspen (Populus tremuloides)
• 10 Bur Oak (Quercus macrocarpa)
• 10 White Cedar (Thuja occidentalis)

Shrubs:

• 20 Gray Dogwood (Cornus racemosa)
• 20 Ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius)
• 20 Chokecherry (Prunus virginiana)
• 20 Pasture Rose (Rosa carolina)
• 20 Raspberry Red (Rubus idaeus)
• 20 Nannyberry (Viburnum lentago)
• 30 Red-osier Dogwood (Cornus sericea)
